''Alejandro "Alex" Enrique Ferrer (born October 18, 1960) is an American television personality, lawyer, and retired judge who presided as the arbiter on ''Judge Alex''. ==Childhood & early adulthood== Ferrer was born in Havana, Cuba in 1960 and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was one-year-old. He attended Rockway Junior High School. At age 19, he became one of the youngest police officers in Florida. Upon receiving his degree, he practiced law in Miami, focusing on civil litigation, including suits involving medical malpractice, wrongful deaths, personal injuries, and commercial business litigation.
